Armor My Heart

Deep inside, is a heart of stone
It's hiding you see, its all alone.
Deep inside it's glowing with light
But sadly, that is out of sight.

It's cover of armor, is meant to protect,
A wall of defense, you won't detect.
Many have tried too pick it apart.
Only a war of mine will start.

Times like these, i wish they'll begin
Too find the door, and I'll let them in.
Instead of trying to bring me down,
wanting them to understand, my heart I'm bound.

But, this is who i am,
this is who I'll always be.
This is not for you,
this is for me.

It is hard to understand,
I know this is true.
But the armor that defends me,
I'm stuck to like glue.
