You Left Me

I tried to make you stay,
You resisted all attempts.
I had gotten to close to a beautiful Rose,
And gotten pricked by thorns.
I told you that I would be here for you,
Yet you shrugged me off,
You didn't think twice.
Swiftly, you left.

You lashed out at me,
Your words left scars,
Like the ones on my wrist.
You left me hurt.
I say I don't care,
Yet when I think of you,
Tears roll down my cheeks.
You left me forever.
