Only In Memory

Like a ripple upon a wave in a pond
that's long since dried up and blown away,
the ghost of a shadow faded,
sun baked by a thousand yesterdays
these are all that I can see of you now,
barely a memory,
that image that's now abated, abstract in sensory,
a crumpled wallet photo,
that was loved till worn so thin,
a cataract upon my minds eye,
an image burned right in,
all the original lines are gone,
and the color so impure,
too many factors left unknown now,
confused, muddled and unsure
so I'll rely on instinct lacking,
and repaint you how I think you used to be,
and maybe in time you'll again be mine,
if only in memory.

this poem i can relate
soo know i can only say your the best mate
i'm sorry this is the only thing i can say...
but i wish you the best of luck today :D..
wake up happy in the morning...
and sleep calmly in the evening .....
i'll pray for your wishes to be true :)
i love your poem a lot
i wish you the best the rest of your life...

Thanks Danica, things are alot better these days, just wanted to share a glimpse into the window of sadness that I looked through so long ago.

btw, I have 8 more poems just sitting in the "pending" section, been there for months. I don't think the moderator here is very active!
