I Waited

Abigail

His name was Ian. He was 23, and I was 19. I was a sophomore in college just moving into my new apartment when I saw him. He made a habit of smoking on his balcony, which I didn't mind because I knew someday I was going to have enough courage to talk to him. I was so shy. One day I bought a pack of cigarettes, and started smoking, in hopes that he would talk to me- which soon after, he did. Everyday after that I stood outside his balcony to talk to him. I'm a decently shy person when it comes to men. I'm not awkward, but I'm often referred to as being quiet with an angel face. About 2 weeks into our balcony talks, he turns to go in his house, but before he could I stopped him and surprised myself when I asked,"When can I ask... [Read More]

Crying Alone in Darkness

Jessica. Catafura

14 Mar, 2016 01:01 PM

Before, you begin to read; I would like to tell you that this is based on a true story and that you should read it all the way through. I had a childhood friend. His name was 'Ben. Pittwater'. He was my friend, my neighbour, my child hood friend, my lover and soul mate. And I like to think that Ben loved me as much as I loved him. Thinking back, the first time I saw Ben was when I was 9 years old. Even though he had a luxurious living style, he was the only child and his parents were usually at work and returned at around 1PM. I sometimes saw him and after that, I let out the courage to say “Hi” to the member of the famous, rich Pittwater family. I still remember the moment he looked up after scratching the dirt then smiling at me with... [Read More]

The last words with my brother

DarknessAngel

24 Nov, 2012 02:56 PM

It's been a while since I've experienced this. This happened in 2007, when I was Ten. My brother Chris was 18 at the time, and had lung cancer. He was growing weaker and weaker, he was coughing so much, and breathing was becoming hard for him. Very hard. On December 23rd 2007, 2 days before Christmas, I visited him in the Hospital. He was in the hospital because doctors expected him to pass very soon, and they didn't want him at home to die. Me and him acted very friendly towards each other. He acted like he had no cancer, and he was at home again. He laughed, he coughed, but suddenly he began to cry. He looked me right in the eye, and told me these words, the words that still haunt and make me cry to this day: "Rachel, I need you to know some things. No matter... [Read More]

It was a Tuesday, the day it happened. The day I made the biggest mistake of my life. It happened when me and my beloved wife Olivia got into an argument and even threw around the word divorce. Which now breaks my heart from all we had been through of a 16 year relationship, a 11 year marriage, and having an 8 year old beautiful daughter named Sarah. When I first met Olivia it was love at first sight and from there on out we were never apart. So now thinking about this fight brings me to tears. Sarah who had been listening to the whole fight and couldn't bare to hear it especially after hearing the word divorce made her start bursting into tears in her room. Once I had enough of the argument I barged out and just before I slammed the door shut I heard my daughter... [Read More]

That night he was here, that man who knew and understood me and yeah – loved me for who exactly I am ..Holding me tight , afraid that there was someone out in the dark waiting to take me away from him .. his lips were steady as he said "baby .. no matter what, I am always there for you , you know that?" "uh-uh" I replied confused. "And do you know that I have loved you so much more than what you’d ever imagined love is, and that it can neither be measured nor weighed?" "yes – I do know" I looked into his eyes, his eyes never leaving mine .. I knew there was something he wanted me know .. just my ears he did not want it to travel from my nerves to brain and ask him cross-questions .. I wanted to say him it was... [Read More]

Days of darkness

Well this a real story of my friend Nikita. It is not so much of a story than her life as of yet which is so full of pain and suffering that now she thinks she is never gonna be happy again. She thinks the only solution of her problems is to end her life. So i wanna share her story and would love to have ideas and comments upon it. Hailing from an Indian brahmin family nikita has always been a shy, obidient and a studious kinda girl. She always scored good marks and did what was told to her without any questions. It was 6 years years ago that I first noticed her in my school. She looked very dull and sad as if something really bad had happened to her. I was curious so I inquired about her from my friend and other girls who knew her.... [Read More]

Cloudy Eyes

SnowDreams97

Eyes always clouded with sadness filled with tears, eyebrows so defined so dark so high, eyes so dark so beautiful so mysterious, nose so small so soft, lips so red so tender decorated with a smile as bright as crystals, cheeks so red as an apple, skin as white as pearls, as soft as a delicate petal, hands as small and tender as the ticklish wind, hair so long so dark so thick so shiny and wavy as a running free river, legs so tall and slender, body so fragile so beautiful so sweet. I stumbled upon a Goddess of the Greeks, I never knew they exist, never knew they're here, I have not seen such pair of thick lashes decorating those haunting dark pair of eyes, she had the saddest eyes, her eyes were like a cloud ready to rain, she had the saddest look the saddest voice and... PROLOGUE: I don’t have tears anymore. I want to cry, wail out loudly, but I can’t. I just don’t have the strength to do it. I feel numb...alone...cold. I guess I have to go, I've said my goodbyes. And may God forgive my soul. I climbed on to my car, turned the engine on. I looked around, it’s so peaceful and quiet here, I could stay here forever. Hah! I still got a sense of humor. Well, this is Sky lawn, where my mother and my stepfather lie. I came to visit them, brought flowers, lit up a candle, said a prayer...and ask for forgiveness. I will see you soon, mother. I will be with you, Dad. Blasted radio, why this song? Should I turn the volume up? Alex Clare’s lyrics says it all... “...just too close to love you...” OK, time to go, it’s gonna be dark soon. Oh... [Read More]

When Sadness Reaches Critical

Sarah

07 Dec, 2011 04:28 PM

We started talking when he moved to our school. He was so sweet to her, they texted for hours and hours, everything was going good. She had told her friends about their love for each other, about how great everything was going. One day he came up to her. "Okay, I really like this girl, and I can't stop thinking about her," the girls heart started to pound and her palms started to sweat. All she could think was, 'this is me.' "Go on," she said, her cheeks hot. "And well, I want to be her boyfriend," he smiled. "And?" "She's so beautiful. I really like her.." "Who is it?!" "Renee, could you give me her number?" "Oh. Um, sure. I'll text it to you later." The girl ran to the bathroom and started to cry. Renee, her best friend had stolen him away. How could this happen. She stared... [Read More]

The rain was dripping down the car window. Sam was tracing patterns with his finger getting lost in his thoughts. Sam is 14 years old and lives in Springfield, Oregon. He has Brown hair, Blue eyes, And a lean petite figure. He has a 7 year old brother named Jacob. Sam is usually depressed. He feels as if no one see's him, as if he is the only one who understands. He can't usually explain his feelings, so instead he takes it out in a different way... by bleeding. "We're almost home" his mother announced. His mom has Brown hair and hazel eyes. "Yay" Sam's brother giggled. "Daddy can we play base ball when we get home?" Jacob asked. "Sure, why not. Do you want to join?" he asked Sam. "No thanks dad, you know I don't like sports" Sam said. "Okay" his father sighed. Sam and his family just... [Read More]
