It started as a normal year. My freshman year of high school. I made two new friends that year. Let's just call them... Angelica and Xiemma. We had a blast. The first half of my freshman year was pretty fun. (I had another crush but he's a different story) And then I met you. You had just transferred high schools. You were the new kid. And boy, were you shy. But you made friends. Just like me. I remember meeting you for the first time. I was talking to Xiemma by my locker. Some kid tripped, and dropped his biology???? binder. Without thinking, I reached down to pick it up. Then I looked up to give it to him... and he was you. I nearly screamed. Damn, you were hot. You jumped back when you saw me too. Looking back on it, you probably jumped back because I recoiled from you... [Read More]

Broken Dreams

On the new Petition by Henry Walsh. I was one of the first 40 signatures, I advertised this petition on all social media I could from Facebook to Gab and YouTube to Twitter. Etc. I was surprised that while of course fans are divided on the Disney take of star wars, never did I think I would have my life threatened over the franchise. Henry Walsh also has been threatened, that people would hack his email, that they would attack him. I have been told I would suffer if I kept going through with this petition and kept posting it. In 1977 George Lucas strived to make a movie that nobody wanted to be a part of, it was difficult and he was told to change it and put all his money and time into it. He created history and made a huge change to cinema everywhere and the future... [Read More]

Friendships Last Forever

Ari

It was karate that night, and I enjoy doing it every Thursday. I met a new student that night, however. The moment we said our first "hello," to each other, we knew we would be friends. Possibly for life, and beyond. I feared my parents would never accept him, however, so we decided to keep our friendship a secret from my parents. We got along very well, and we hung out a few times at his place. I had a cover for it, though, so my parents never suspected a thing. We became the best of friends, and nothing could break our bond together. But one day, me and my friend went out drinking with a few more of our buds. I was a smart kid, so I knew that I shouldn't drink too much, or I would get a really bad hangover the next day. It wasn't very tasty... [Read More]

These events happened when I was 15 and 16 so some events aren't as detailed as I would have liked them to be but I've tried to recall the events as best I could , thank you for taking the time to read this I truly appreciate it , even if you don't it feels better already writing it down. At the start of March 2013 my mum got a phone call from the army base , that means either two things . One my dad had died or two was seriously injured and was being sent back.He was stationed in Iraq and had served in the army for 15 years. So he was head commander in ground combat.Well it wasn't good news it was basically both of the two options. He had been shot four times by an enemy group on ground and was in critical condition , and... [Read More]

Losing more than timing...

Nikira

25 May, 2015 06:12 AM

Love, romance, and partnerships aren't something that belong to me. I will always lose out. Timing is everything in life, and sometimes, your potential love life is not the only thing at stake, if you lose or miss your timing, it is possible to lose even more... I tend to stay quiet and will almost always let my friend win, and this is the story of how I lost everything... ----------------------------------------- And this is my story: My best friend of 15 years, we knew everything about each other, could communicate with looks, or at least that's what I thought. The guy I like... my crush of 5 years, crushing on him since the first day of high school when I saw him as that really hot guy on the other side of the courtyard.... until we were in the same math class together, at first he was just cute, but... Friends

"Nick?" my best friend, Nathan, whispered as he laid in the bed next to me. I didn't reply, but I believe he knew I was listening. "I don't want to die yet." It was the simplest statement I had ever heard him make. Nathan was always one to put things into complex terms and use as many words as possible to make his meaning as clear as glass. But this time, he didn't need any embellishments. "Neither do I," I wanted to say, but instead I just remained quiet. My fantasy was that we were both going to recover. The reality was that one of us wouldn't. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In second grade, my best friend was Ian Desmond. I had just moved to North Lake during the summer before the school year had started. On the first day of school, Ian stood out to me from the rest of the crowd... [Read More]

One picture can mean way too much.

TheLonelyStar

A few years ago, I was in a different school. It was picture day. I was going to the place where group pictures were taken, with my four best friends. For this story, their names will be V, M, P, E, and I will be S. Me and V had been besties for a while, and then M, P and E had kind of teamed up with us- it was us vs the world. We hung out together almost every day. Especially me and V. So, after waiting for our turn for the picture, we went to the chair in front of the camera. But half way there, V stopped us. She said: 'Um.. I don't really want S to be in the picture.' I was shocked. We were best friends. I was sure the others wouldn't agree with it. But I was wrong. First E said. 'yeah...' I was... As long as Henry could remember, the first time he laid his eyes on Sally in seventh grade, he instantly fell in love with her. He became good friends with Sally, but he was never able to gather up the courage to express his feelings for her. As high school came along, Henry moved to the other part of town. Henry went to a different high school and he felt the distance between him and Sally growing. Henry was a tall boy with a lean, muscular build. He had thin black hair and was the class clown. He was likable and easy to get along with. Because he was a class clown, no one really took him seriously. Sally also had black hair. She was not too fat, but also not too skinny either. She had a sweet personality that could make any boy fall for her the instant she... [Read More]
