Crying Alone in Darkness

Jessica. Catafura

14 Mar, 2016 01:01 PM

Before, you begin to read; I would like to tell you that this is based on a true story and that you should read it all the way through. I had a childhood friend. His name was 'Ben. Pittwater'. He was my friend, my neighbour, my child hood friend, my lover and soul mate. And I like to think that Ben loved me as much as I loved him. Thinking back, the first time I saw Ben was when I was 9 years old. Even though he had a luxurious living style, he was the only child and his parents were usually at work and returned at around 1PM. I sometimes saw him and after that, I let out the courage to say “Hi” to the member of the famous, rich Pittwater family. I still remember the moment he looked up after scratching the dirt then smiling at me with... [Read More]

The Inspiring Life Of . . .

Maddie West

18 Oct, 2013 01:48 AM

A girl named Maggie was born to old parents. Maggie grew up happy, social, and funny! The most important people in her life were: her BFF Britney, who she met when she was two; her aunt; her mom and her dad (of course!). Maggie had so many friends in preschool that sadly she had to leave most of them then come kindergarden and that's where she met most of her friends. She was good friends with on girl named, Kiki who was a great friend at first but then started to bully Maggie through the years. Maggie had many friends that would protect kindergarden through 5th grade. Yeah she was bullied up until fifth grade and it was on and off bullying. In first grade Maggie was not as talkative as before and stuck with a small crowd. In second grade she was very shy and developed a social anxiety... [Read More]

I Thought People Cared

Alex

26 Sep, 2012 05:18 AM

Life isn't too easy when the people you’re so used to having around, the people who you think cared about you, the people who you could trust no longer has your back. I know many have felt this way too so this is my story. Regina and Bert are not their real names. Gabe and Cat are real names in this story. Everything started in 8th grade. I had friends who I thought had my back for a long time. Friends that of course I could invite to parties and sleepovers. I had a liking for a new guy named Gabe. He was on TV once and that was to come to where I lived in 7th grade. I didn’t even notice him until 8th grade when certain people went to a DC trip. I was reading Maximum Ride at the time and like many other fan girls, I was... [Read More]

With all of my love, Will

em:)

29 Aug, 2015 03:20 AM

It's pretty awful to know someone who died. You know what's even worse? When it's someone you love. I'm Emily, and I'm 17. Let me start from the beginning, all the way back to Friday. Will, my boyfriend, and I were watching a movie in his basement. Some sappy movie i forced him to watch with me. He's a good boyfriend to put up with the things i make him do. Anyway, we were watching this sappy movie. He was sitting against the corner of the couch with his legs stretched out, and i was in the middle of them, leaning my back against his chest with his arms wrapped around me, and his face buried partially in my long red/blonde hair. He leaned his head around mine and used his pointer finger and middle finger to turn my head gently and softly kissed my lips. It was a slow... [Read More]

The Day When I Will See You Again

Faliha Ishma

I had a best friend. He's a guy. We knew each other when we were still very young, about 2 years old. Well, our mothers were best friends. That's why I knew him, because our mothers were very close. I loved talking to him. He's like a big brother to me. I was always counting on him, on whatever. He treated me well. He encouraged me when I felt sad and devastated. He hugged me when I cried. He laughed with me when I felt happy. He fought with guys who made fun of me, or even made me cry. I just loved him so much. We did everything together. We played anything, we laughed at each other, we argued sometimes, but those arguments were just made our bonds even stronger. But, when we became teenagers, our feelings changed. Well, I still felt the same about him. But, I knew... [Read More]

Tears Aren't Enough

Belle

Do you ever fear that you are going to lose someone close to you? Do you ever think that you might not see someone ever again? Well, I didn't. It was the summer after sixth grade. My hometown had just opened a new swimming pool and everyone loved it. Now, I can’t go there anymore without seeing her sleeping on one of the chairs, or dipping her feet in the water. The her I’m talking about was my best friend Erin. We had started hanging out at the beginning of the sixth grade when we were put in a group for a school thing together. After that, we were inseparable. We were always at each other's houses, or going to the pool when it was warm enough. And about half way through summer vacation she stayed a full week at my house. Nothing seemed wrong. A few days after she... [Read More]

Love Stolen.

I always used to be sad and depressed about things. My parents were not much help, and my brothers and sisters, well, they were all in love. So no point worrying over some loner who destroyed himself for a girl who didn't even look back. I was 13 years old, when I got my first proposal. At first, i didn't accept. But seeing her cry, i didn't think. I just said yes. We stayed together for about a weak or so. I was confused. It wasn't my age for such relationships. I didn't love her anyway. She left me, and i started thinking it was love. I know, its a bit unorthodox, but still, it happened. I tried my luck at a suicide, but no use. So i did several things to hurt myself. Not that i didn't try to bring her back. But it never worked. I'm 17 now.... [Read More]

Hidden Under

Alex Martinez

24 Dec, 2012 05:10 AM

This was a story about something that happened to me, I'm a theater freak, so I made a personal Pro's piece. "Have you ever felt too shy or scared to tell someone how you felt about them? Or you kept your feeling hidden deep down so that someone else-your friend-can have a chance? Well Ash knows how you feel. She keeps her love for her best friend under wraps to make her friend happy, so she can get the happy ever after, instead of herself after all, what are friends for, right? Hidden Under, by...Anna C. Carrera, a personal narrative. "I say loudly, yet I sound like a whisper." ...Why didn't I just tell him? He would have understood, right? No I couldn't, I can't, for Katt. I mean, she deserves him, I don't. I had my chance. Now I have to let him go, and I will. I will... [Read More]

My Best Friend, My Love

Nathan

21 Apr, 2012 10:56 PM

I sit next to you at lunch, my best friend, and enjoy every second of our time together. When you leave us, I have no reason to stay and socialize with the others in our group. I sit at home, waiting excitedly to get a text back from you, not caring how long it takes you to reply. When you don’t, I shrug and wait anticipatingly for the next time we talk. I go on facebook, coming to your profile. When I see your picture, I think of how lucky I am to call you my friend. I think about you as my mind wanders. When I think about our friendship, I realize my feelings for you. I curse myself for falling for my best friend. When I see you again, however, I can’t imagine being with anyone else. I talk to you about our plans. When we come up... [Read More]

I feel like I'm losing you...

I wish you could see how i really feel on the inside, instead of believing all the lies that I?ve been telling you, not only you, actually everyone, including myself... Why can?t you see how I feel? Don?t you get it? I wish I just could tell you the truth, how I really feel about you. I don?t want to hide it anymore or pretend that those feelings for you aren?t there. But I feel that you?re lying about something, or at least not telling me the whole truth. We are best friends, and you?re the only one that I can truly be myself with. But I feel like we are growing apart. You don?t talk to me as much as you used to. You don?t touch me or cuddle with me as much as you used to. Everything has changed now. Now, it seems like you don?t even want... [Read More]
