Clown

The clown in the mirror is looking down on me.
Telling me things that are wrong;
And pointing out my weaknesses.

The clown in the mirror will always scare me.
For I know he will always be watching,
Our eyes will always meet.

The clown in the mirror stalks me.
Every time I look she is right there beside me;
Looking and copying my every move
The clown in the mirror hates me.
Every time I see it I see what I could be
Yet, unfortunately, I will never be.

The clown in the mirror mocks me.
Every smile is shown in equality.
I can't help but feel that the smile is fake.
The clown in the mirror knows me.
Within its eyes I see exactly what I'm going through.
There is neither angst nor any sympathy.
The clown in the mirror is mine.
The body and the eyes are mine,
For the clown is simply my mirrored reflection.
