Island of Grief

Grief keeps it's own record of healing
no one or anyone can feel your deepest pain
One can walk beside you
but never within the walls of your suffering heart
One can listen...and offer their ..."I am here for you"
One can pray...for the life you grieve is the one that is
shared by many

but as you walk on your soulful is yours alone
you take that weak moment and make it strong
you take a sorrowful situation and douse it with a happy life event
you take those tears of sorrow...and dampen the mouth of someone who thirsts
by quenching their own despair...
It is somewhat far away on a island that is a refuge
take that someone that needs you ...that trusts your love for them
and guide them through what your heart and eyes have seen
a witness...but never judge..
nor speak their heart
for their journey is theirs to own

This is great! It expresses quite thoughtfully the ability to take care of ones own life, events, and inner world. It also has an elegant sprinkle of friendship having individuality without losing the scent of the tenderness of being with another. Great job, Camille!
