It was a Tuesday, the day it happened. The day I made the biggest mistake of my life. It happened when me and my beloved wife Olivia got into an argument and even threw around the word divorce. Which now breaks my heart from all we had been through of a 16 year relationship, a 11 year marriage, and having an 8 year old beautiful daughter named Sarah. When I first met Olivia it was love at first sight and from there on out we were never apart. So now thinking about this fight brings me to tears. Sarah who had been listening to the whole fight and couldn't bare to hear it especially after hearing the word divorce made her start bursting into tears in her room. Once I had enough of the argument I barged out and just before I slammed the door shut I heard my daughter... [Read More]

Broken

Tell my why do things have to change when they were perfect from the start...? Why do we have to lose everything that we have always been holding onto, after everything that we've been through together..? I kept thinking that this loneliness, this sadness, this.. emptiness would be gone if I kept you by my side. But now, I realize that even though something is near you.. they feel.. distant. Was it because I was forcing them to continue staying by my side? Was it because.. because you don't feel the way I wanted you too. Was it because.. was it because I was too selfish to realize what you truly felt? Was it because.. I was always focusing on my feelings, that I didn't even have the time to consider what YOU felt? Or was it because.. you saw right through me..? I thought that this love was our... [Read More]

Love is

Ashley Coulson

30 Mar, 2014 04:59 PM

I had three friends. Eric, Cathleen, Carol. Eric was chased by all the girls in our high school. Cathlyn was one of those popular girls. Cheerleader, sexy, and stylish. Carol was just one of those plain and average girls but still awfully pretty. Cathlyn and Carol were both totally crazy and wacko over Eric. Cathlyn didn't have to do anything to attract Eric, for she was already attractive enough. Carol on the other hand, showered Eric with love and care. Carol wasn't ugly at all. In fact, she looked sweet and pleasant. However, she wasn't a cheerleader and she didn't wear spaghetti-straps or tubes. So like everyone expected, Eric chose Cathleen. While Cathleen was labelled as the cool and attractive type, Carol was just one ordinary and plain girl. Eric always insulted Carol. He was always telling her what a 'Plain Jane' she was and how dumb she looked. It... [Read More]

What Hurts The Most

Kaitlyn Taylor

19 Feb, 2017 12:34 PM

You never know what truly hurts until you sit back and analyze all the things that do hurt. And what truly hurts is the one thing that makes your heart clench tighter. Makes you grunt with pain for a second. Lots of things hurt. But there's one thing that hurts the most. We were together for a long time. And long time for high schoolers that is. Over two and a half years. We started dating freshman year and now we're halfway through our senior year. My whole high school experience was with this guy. And I loved him. Man, I was head over heels for him. So sweet, so funny, and so talented. I loved his kisses, his hugs, and when he held me tight. He made me laugh more than anyone ever did. That's what I loved most about him. He had an amazing sense of humor. I... [Read More]

For you Josh

During my first year of high school I had befriended a young, beautiful girl named Alexis. She was one of those friends that I just immediately clicked with. She had short black hair that was constantly straight, always brushing her chin when she turned her head. Her eyes were the most brilliant shade of blue with what seemed to be purple hidden in her light irises, and her skin was a soft white ivory. Over all her appearance made all the boys at our school swoon for her. She was an honor student, always maintaining a 4.0 and she had the most amazing personality. She had the ability to always appear happy and confident, and always willing to help anyone who needed it. But notice I said appear happy, really she was hiding a dark secret. My sweet, beautiful friend had been suffering from manic depression most of her life... [Read More]

You became a stranger to me

Minera Parker

20 Nov, 2017 11:34 AM

It was a rainy day and I was in school. I wanted to give up on everything. People would see me as a popular kind of girl. But to be true I had no one to call my friend. There were nights where I wanted to drift into a never ending sleep. I had no one. I was walking down the stairs and saw a guy. He had brown hair, tall and had grey eyes. But there was this sparkle in his grey eyes. It wasn't full of life but it didn't seem dead. I wanted to know what he was thinking. There was something about him that made me so curious. So I talked to him. He understood me. He stopped my thoughts of dying. He made me feel needed, loved and happy. So I wanted to be honest. I told him about my therapy sessions. I told him... Dee

Summer of 2004, I was 16 years old a sophomore in high school.. My friends called me and told me they would be going down to the beach for a bonfire and asked if i would like to join... Well i didn't have anything to do so i said sure lets go... Little did i know i would meet someone that day that would change my life for ever... His name was Andrew he was also a sophomore... Might as well state now that he was not my type, haha.. He was white/mexican, bald head, baggy clothes, and a weed smoker (Hey i was fun, but at that time i definitely had not experimented with any drugs), pretty much what people would call a "gangster" except he did not claim a set.. Andrew had shown up with some friends.. One of them was dating one of the friends i showed... [Read More]

My Feet Drag On…

The_Real_97'

27 Jun, 2013 09:44 PM

It was January 5th, 2013 the day that changed my life. New Years was over and it was the first weekend after returning to school. I had been talking to this girl for a few months, and it was never flirtatious, just great friends. It was in school that we got the idea of watching Monsters Inc., or at least we were joking around about it cause it was such a great movie. (We both like animated films, she loves them though) But that Saturday I remember being on the bus and not having anything to do till 6:00 p.m. where I had to go house sit, and her name came across my phone. So I called her up and made the plans, we were going to go catch the afternoon show and it turned out to be one of the best days of my life. I remember walking past... [Read More]

Lovers No Longer

Cathryn

09 Nov, 2016 08:08 PM

There once was a girl. When she was in high school, she fell madly in love. One night, her and him were texting. G: Hey, can I ask you a question? B: What's up? G: Do you like me? B: Yeah. And I'm not even gonna ask you if you like me 'cause I already know you do. That night, they became a couple. Now, there relationship lasted a while. One day, the girl got a text from her ex-boyfriend's girlfriend telling her to never talk to him again, although she never did. When she confronted her ex-boyfriend about it, he told her that her boyfriend was cheating on her. She texted her boyfriend and asked him if he was. He said no but that he did need to tell her something. She asked him what. He then called her and this is how the story went. G: Hey. What's... [Read More]

How wrong he was

Dxpressed

18 Jan, 2016 07:11 PM

This is a story I had to write for an English assessment. This narrative story had to end with "how wrong he was." let me know what you guys think :) Never had she felt so depressed, used or confused. She felt a flood of emotions overwhelm her all at once but still felt so empty. After spending millions of magical moments together growing up and eventually dating, why did it have to end this way? Those special memories were fuel on the fire, causing his distrust of her to pain her benevolent, broken heart even more. Hours went by however none of this mattered to her. Nothing mattered to her anymore. Curled up in an untidy heap, she sobbed hysterically but silently. The self-inflicted lacerations wept almost as much as she did. Little did he know that it was his own so called friends who hatched such lies? Photographs... [Read More]
