A Beautiful Lie

Standing by the river side
The same river you sat and cried.
You are alone in the world with nothing to loose
An explosion waiting to happen like a broken fuse.
People say you are no one of beauty nor of grace
So you keep putting your toe out of place.

Longing to strike out at the world around you
You’re trapped in a box with nothing to do.
It seems like the world is driving you crazy
Like with the constant screams of a new born baby.
So you sit by the river side

You kill me everyday

ChristopherMaggotWaweru

Please, I beg you,
break my ribs with brass knuckles until it bleeds
rather than ripping my hurt to pieces with your presence
Every single fucking day is a sweet nightmare I never want to end.

My daily dose of heroine, except the needle never pierces my skin.
The drug never injects my bloodstream. Yet I have vowed to never let it go.
I am addicted to it.
To you.

I know that I mean much little to you, but you are the life of me,
so little that you can't stand my hideous display.

THE HAND

Walter William Safar

18 Feb, 2012 07:01 PM
I am standing on a bridge,
like a stone chiseled by the wind.
In this dark time,
there is no one to reach out with his hand,
and the wistful river now calls me down
to where the ghosts of late poets look at me,
as if I was an accursed messenger of their fates.

While the shadows lazily creep along the purple river
like a funeral procession
(and I thought that there would be
no one at my funeral),

A POEM OF LOVE

Walter William Safar

18 Feb, 2012 06:58 PM
Darling, I shall never, never forget
the excitement
your heart had awakened
in my heart.

How gentle it was,
my heart was nearly breaking,
full of elation
from the mixed up feelings of pleasure,
pain, joy, pride and modest sorrow.

How much mercy the Lord had bestowed

A POEM TO MY BELOVED

Walter William Safar

18 Feb, 2012 06:55 PM
If I had to lie down
Onto the black hearse instead of our love,
I would agree to die right away,
But hope is the last thing to die,

Yes, my golden one, I am living with hope
That Your tear, like the beautiful moon,
shall shine upon each letter,

each word, comma, exclamation mark
and period of this poem,
as if it was the most honest of prayers.

YOU KNOW ALL ABOUT ME

Walter William Safar

18 Feb, 2012 06:49 PM
You know that I have named many a wind
after our dreams,
that I have named many a shadow
after our wishes,
that I have named many of our tears
after our memories.

Since you have left,
nameless winds come and go,
just like shadows and tears.
Everything is the same;
the same loneliness,

IN THE NAME OF ETERNAL LOVE

Walter William Safar

18 Feb, 2012 06:47 PM
Since you have left, my one and only,
the sun became perfectly cold.
It's golden heart,
completely forgotten,
lies in the golden cradle:

Oh, Lord, the sun is so cold,
it wrapped itself around my heart,
like a vampire's golden claw.
Its cold fingers of gold
are ripping off parts of my heart
and throwing its bloody food at death's feet.

Poverty

Walter William Safar

18 Feb, 2012 06:45 PM
POVERTY

Oh poverty, you are swelling in so many bosoms now,
Like a heart thirsting for blood.
Like a black tear you are creeping into this rainy night

To cloak so many people in black.
When the copper bell tolls in the belfry,
You will be at the head of the funeral procession,
Like a judge to many prayers;

When many a silent tear is born,

The Last Voyage

Walter William Safar

18 Feb, 2012 06:42 PM
THE LAST VOYAGE

Like a straw man,
Hunted by gusts of wind
(in order to outrun death),
I am returning to the valley of my childhood;

To see the old home one last time,
To see the old walnut tree one last time,
under which my mother used to read
Mark Twain's wonderful stories to me.

love deprived

I walk past road without count of my steps,
with my marching steps my tears match and pace...
something has changed something has gone,
my voluptuous beauty was the thing you only longed,
you loved me never ,you liked me never
I was just someone for you..

I walk the street and pass the crowd,
I feel just numbness and feel a terror,
solitude has grabbed me in his arms
n smile got caged,
I walk with you but I still feel alone,
