That's what suffering is

They stripped me and wiped me
and took of my only clothes,
Nailed my hands, let me hang.
That's what suffering is.

Made me leave my family,
made me burn myself,
then right at the end you just said
that was a test
and you've done the best,
now you can go home?
That's what suffering is.

The burning and swelling and struggling to breathe,
That's what suffering is.

Crying help with a murmur,
as your heart inside slows down,
The sudden pain of countless veins,
That's what suffering is.

I have suffered, they have suffered also he and she,
But there is no you, so we couldn't count you.
You don't know what suffering is
