I, The Cassic

You all think I'm a ghost,
a memory you hate to recall.
Something painful,
that you resist to give your all.

You all think I'm a whisper,
a sliver of wind.
Someone you loved,
and the fate you tried to bend.

You all think I'm a classic,
a melody to forget in time.
Something old, you once cherished,
and is now faultily sublime.

You all think I'm a ghost,
Whispering into your ear.
Some painful forgotten melody,
Played on the violin as a classic.
