It's going to be ok.24 Jan, 2015 01:15 AM
Once upon a time, there was a little girl, who wanted to become a singer. She was a chubby little thing, small, not exactly that bright. she got bullied a lot. No one stood up for her. They thought she deserved it. That this ugly little chubby girl was nothing special. The girl became an anorexic. Still, they thought she was ugly. that was reason enough.
They didn't know that when she got home, her mother was always drunk, or that her dad was cheating on her mom every chance he got spending his money on some cheap whore. The girl became skinny. Then, she got a text message, from a friend saying, that he liked her, that he was just too scared to say it before. He said to meet him by the school, on a Saturday. She believed in him. She thought she would finally have someone that cared for her. She was wrong.
He had brought a bunch of people with him. She was alone. They hurt her, broke her. Even raped her. No one was there for her. She finally managed to go home that day. She went home, saw what she usually saw. Her mom was passed out on the floor. Her Dad no where to be seen. She wanted to die. She wanted this to end. She wondered, what she had done to deserve this. What had she done? Was it because she was ugly?
She had no idea why this is happening to her. To her of all people. She missed school that Monday. She didn't want to see Him. She didn't want to see anyone. She locked herself in her mind. She didn't need anything. nothing but music. Nothing but the empty meaning that the lyrics held. She was tired of this life.... She was tired of it all. She was forced to go to school the next week. She was forced back into the terror, which was her life. But, there was always her safe haven there.
There was a music room, that no one used. She would hide there. No one would find her there. She was safe there. Free to do as she pleased. She would sing, play the old piano there, do whatever she wanted to do. Then someone heard her sing. They recorded it, and snuck into the office and played it over the intercom.
Everyone laughed. She hoped no one knew who was singing. She hoped no one would know it was her. She didn't want to be bullied anymore. She wanted to be alone. She wanted to be cared about. She ran out of her classroom, the sounds of laughter bouncing around the school. She went to her Safe Haven. Her Heaven on Earth, But there were people waiting for her. She thought about what happened last time.
They didn't hurt her this time though. They didn't hold her down and rape her. They talked to her. They smiled with her. The most kindness she'd received from anyone. She bursted into tears. She didn't think she deserved kindness. She was ugly. She was fat. She couldn't sing. She was useless.
"You have a really great voice, you know." Said one of the boys, Jacob. She bit her lip and softly thanked him. He was much different than the boy that had betrayed her. She felt as though she could trust them.
"Do you want to be in our band?" One of the girls asked her. The girl hadn't expected the question at all.
"But I don't know how to play an instrument." She replied. The small group shook their head.
"No, we want you to be the singer. Is that okay?" She answered.
The girl finally got friends, that day. Maybe them hearing her sing wasn't a bad thing.
/ugh this totally sucked. I'm sorry.
