Ashely

I fell in love at a very young age.. My former boyfriend asked me out on Christmas I said yes because i liked him so much. About 2 months went by and i found out he cheated on me with his ex girlfriend.. who i dislike very much. We stopped talking.. About a month later he asked me back out i stupidly said yes. We began to fight and argue over stupid things. then he told me he was going to visit his sick grandmother in another country for a month. I was devastated but let him go.. A month went buy and I knew he was coming home. On that night i checked what time he was coming home and stood up all night waiting for his phone call.. Instead i got a text message from him saying it was over. i was confused and couldn't believe it. I... [Read More]

Missing Home

Nicole

I've always been closest to my grandparents. I was their favorite, you see. When I was younger, I lived with them, they cooked for me, helped me with school- everything. I hardly ever saw my parents or my siblings. My Grandmother was strict. She was the one who made sure I finished my school work and studied. I used to think of her as an annoying teacher who lives with me, watching my every movement. My Grandpa, on the other hand, was a sweetheart. He came to my every need, even slept in the same room with me because I was scared of the dark. He'd pick me up every day from school, asking me whether I was hungry, or thirsty. Every time, every time I'd reply 'No' in a very annoyed voice. I loved them with all my heart, I just didn't think much of my behavior, I never... [Read More]

To Thin With White Levis

J Matson Heininger

This are comments I wrote of my departed wife... left so quickly from health to departure, in less than six months from Cancer. With Death I see her in the sunlight shadows and in the corners of light, a glimpse, a memory a thought a smell, a bump in the night. These still all are Deb for me. I find myself waking at 11:00 and at three, in search of her. Where has she got to now? It is time for medicine. And then I remember, she no longer needs it. It will work no more if it ever did, she is gone, gone, gone, and then I cry some more. I cry for myself and for generations passed, for all those before and after me, who if they are lucky enough to have so loved a woman will feel the pain that I now feel. And, I don?t envy... Summer Lovin'

Faraz Ardalan

31 Aug, 2010 11:56 PM

This summer, I met the most amazing girl. Her name is Zoe. She has red hair, and an amazing sense of humor. She was visiting New York for the second time from Ireland. I'm friends with her cousin, who I'm also in a band with. I had a huge crush on her when I met her (doesn't help that I'm a sucker for red heads, does it?). But I realized she'd leave at the end of summer; and not to get to attached. And also, after realizing how serious I was with my girlfriend, I realized the best thing was to let her go. Skip a few weeks. Her last week, she and her cousin have a going away party and sleepover. I really loved hanging with her and our friends all night. We decided to pull an "all-nighter." So; around 6 AM, we were oh so close. We were... [Read More]

Today is the day my mom and I moved into our new house. It's big but lonely. As i got used to the house i asked mom what day i go to school, and of course she says," Tomorrow morning...WHy"? I didnt answer, instead of answering i just walked away thinking how lonly it's gonna be.* The next day * when mom droped me off, i walked slowly to the front doors. As i entered the classroom the teacher looked at me and said " there's no reason to be nervous... I promise". It didnt help i was still nervous. when i entered everyone was staring at me, i felt like throwing up. As lunch came around everybody left the class room, and as always mom forgets to pack me a lunch. so i just sat in my seat til lunch was over . Then I hear a voice calling... [Read More]

I cant get over him

Shannon

I have basically loved the same guy for ten months. i walked into the classroom on the first day of school and i instantly fell in love. he was always this sweet and funny guy who cared so much about me and my best friend. i am most definitely not the prettiest girl around. but him being a typical guy he liked the prettiest girl who is a cheerleader and all that. so i went 6 months hiding it. any one who knew about it said it was totally obvious so over the year i got a boyfriend and well i honestly woke up every day and had to tell my self that i liked him and wanted to be his girlfriend. that ended quickly. he found out by accident that i loved him i was talking to my friend and hit the wrong button by accident, oops!! the next... There was this boy named Chandler.I loved him. He taught me to draw and because of him, one of my painting got first place in a competition. He also taught me to ride a dirt bike.We had so much fun together. He was the only one who knew my background and I his. We hung out a lot, too. But then one day, a couple days before the last day of school, my parents told me i was moving to my aunts. I was devastated. I cant even explain what it felt like. The next day I told my friends I was moving and guess what they said,"Sure,Sophie."They didnt believe me! I ran to chandler, I knew he'd understand. As i was running away my so called friends yelled he's not here, but I had to check. They were right he wasnt there.Tomorrow was the last day of school, I'd tell him... [Read More]

Corvus In Absencia

It all began one late afternoon in class. I was only in my second year of high school but I'd like to believe I held a somewhat different mind to those who I had the unfortunate luck of being stuck with for the next few years. I'd begun a small debate around my small circle of friends over matters that truly had no validity but watching a person argue something with no basis was very amusing. We moved around the room as our small debate raged on and on (Our work had been handed in for the day, we only awaited the sound of the bell to take our leave) until finally, we sat near a soon to be graduate of the school. She looked at us with fascination but she also partially ignored us, she preferred her music to any dull argument we could possibly ever conceive. However, the... [Read More]
