The Undying Love

Julia Sullivan

I'm currently 18 and this story started way back when I was 13. I had a 3 year major crush on this cute guy. After waiting and having kept the developing feeling, I was soooo happy to finally know from a friend that he actually fell for me. LIKE FINALLY. Well, you know that happiness. Well, after getting more about each other for several months when we started to get closer, he finally decided to ask me to be his girlfriend, which was what made me felt so good about it. It was worth the wait. We dated for like 7 months, we went out a lot, explore places, go for hiking, out for dinner at good dining places, and writing lengthy love letters to each other even though we usually meet during school. I would always remember how he loved to kiss my forehead, waved and blow a kiss... [Read More]

Airplanes

He trudged through the ankle-deep snow, his hands in his pockets and his eyes on his shoes. Fallen snow stuck in his wavy hair and his eyelashes. He was was walking away from the worst day of his life. He looked back on these past few days... He had first seen her walking down this very block block months ago, her long dark hair flecked with drops of rain. He had been starstruck when he saw her, and ran through the deluge or rain, trying to catch up with her. She turned a corner. He followed. When he caught up to her, he was breathless. She smiled at him as he gasped for air. Then she turned into the coffee shop. He sat at the booth while she was working behind the counter. He couldn't stop looking at her. After a while, he managed to walk up to the counter... [Read More]

My Feet Drag On…

It was January 5th, 2013 the day that changed my life. New Years was over and it was the first weekend after returning to school. I had been talking to this girl for a few months, and it was never flirtatious, just great friends. It was in school that we got the idea of watching Monsters Inc., or at least we were joking around about it cause it was such a great movie. (We both like animated films, she loves them though) But that Saturday I remember being on the bus and not having anything to do till 6:00 p.m. where I had to go house sit, and her name came across my phone. So I called her up and made the plans, we were going to go catch the afternoon show and it turned out to be one of the best days of my life. I remember walking past... [Read More]

Life of a Fool

Timothy Elifas

Life… They say life is hell. Some say, hell itself comes from humanity. Some say, it comes from politics. Me, personally…? I say it comes from love. Well, no matter how much I grieve, no matter how hard I cry… Love won’t make me feel any better. I was once believed in love. I put my trust on love. Everything I’ve got on love. I bet my sanity that my love would go on. “I have never been so wrong.” I was once betrayed by love. I moved on, knowing that I deserve better. The second time I was betrayed, I didn’t really care. But…This time… Is someone that I love most. The one that you all may call “The Perfect Angel”. I believed that we will love each other, Seeking a way out together for every problem, And, I was once again, wrong. Her eyes gave me serenity. Her... [Read More]

I'm An Idiot

Meghan

I was in 6th grade and I thought that I could do this. You know, go out with an older guy. I was in 6th grade while he was in 9th. I was 12 while he was 16. I wish I had never even met him. But I'm getting ahead of myself, let's jump back about 3 months ago (which is in March). One day in march, the 9th grader, let's call him James, was sitting with me at a table at church. there were other people but I didn't pay much attention to them. I had known James for about 3 months and I started to get a little crush on him. I know, crazy right? I must have blanked out for a little bit because one moment we are talking about the food and next minute we are talking about phones and phone numbers. He asked me if... [Read More]

Beautiful Girl

When I was 18 I was sitting on a railroad bridge over this little creek. It was and still is my place to think. I was in a dark place. I had thought about jumping countless times. A middle aged man was walking down the railroad tracks. I was nervous, but wasn't ready to leave. As he got closer he stopped and sat down next to me. He said, "what are you doing up here"? I told him the truth, that I came here to appreciate a little away time. He said, he'd never seen me there before, but this was the very same thing he did. I was still very uneasy about this new person. He was clean shaven, nice cloths, and had a soft presence about him. We made small talk and I finally grew the confidence to ask him why he was there. He said, "How long... [Read More]

I've lost him because of them.

He was the face I saw in the hallway everyday at school on the way to lunch. The face I looked forward to everyday. The face that I didn't know the story of. The face that caused me to hide my blushing face to keep those eyes from seeing the feelings I had. I felt as if he could read me by just looking into my eyes. The first day we spoke was the Monday after school had ended. I had never said a word to him before it. He messaged me on facebook and we began to talk. He ended up asking me out the next day and I said yes because I knew there was a connection between the two of us. He immediately wanted to come over to meet my parents and see me. I told him I wasn't sure that was a good idea because no... [Read More]

The Oblivious

Artemis

I suppose in my life, I've been pretty lucky. I live in a house, I have dogs and friends and I go to school. Yet, as many people do, I looked for more. I yearned for danger and not the infinity of routine. A boy met me, and I met him. The next 5 years were hectic because we were oblivious to the fact that we were not a compatible couple, or even friends really. We were destructive and abusive in so many ways. We were never even officially a couple, we were people who loved each other but couldn't stand commitment. He fell in love with another woman, I fell in love with another man. We drifted after awhile, though I should have seen love cannot drift so easily, but I was naive. Even though we saw other people, we still loved each other. By coincidence we saw each... [Read More]

Agony

Jessi Lassiter

01 Jan, 2013 08:06 AM

Here is a true story about a heartbreak that I'm still getting over. A little over a year ago, about September of 2011, I met a boy named Tony. He was extremely handsome, funny, and popular. I liked him, but he could be arrogant sometimes. A couple months later we became friends (not super close, though) and starting talking/texting. In the hallways, he would say ''hi'' to me, we'd sit at the same lunch table, and we joked with each other occasionally. In about May of 2012, Tony asked me to video chat with him. With me liking him, I obviously agreed. We flirted a lot, and learned more about each other; He even called me beautiful! Once we were done video chatting, I felt amazing. I couldn't believe he had called me beautiful. But once we went back to school, things weren't so amazing. He was avoiding me at... [Read More]

Lonely and Emotionless

Kathy

28 Dec, 2012 01:21 PM

The boy was known to date many girls. The girl was pursued by many boys only to reject them. He was afraid of being lonely, and she was afraid of feeling emotion. Initially, they were not the most compatible match. They were friends who secretly disliked each other, but that soon changed when he didn't show up to school for quite a while. She realized his foolish jokes were the reason she laughed, and he realized that ugly face was sweet and caring. When he came back they engaged in conversation, finally warming up to each other. But the next day, they completely ignored one another. He was confused if she liked him or not, and she was nervous. The following day, the girl mastered up all of her courage and hugged him. "It's your welcome back hug," she muffled into his jacket. Only two days later did the shy... [Read More]
