my life so far

clay lenderman

03 Jan, 2013 04:38 AM

I was born the third of three children and the only boy. My mother had my sister when she was 18. My mother started leaving at night and staying out until morning according to my father and so they divorced when I was about 2 but they kept trying at it even after that until I was around 5. After they ended it for good we lived at my dads parents home for a while until he had secured him his own home in which we could live in. We lived with our mom while my dad figured out his living situation. While there she married a man named Kenneth. He was stern and sometimes would abuse my mother and myself and my sisters. My oldest sister got into a fight with him one night and moved out to my dads house after Kenneth slapped her across the face. My... [Read More]

No Mama, we can't leave!

Madeline

05 Nov, 2014 04:42 AM

So it was really gone then. I thought that we could still stay. I really wanted to stay. Mama and Daddy really wanted to stay. Even Charles, who absolutely hated this place, wanted to stay. I guess anybody would stay here in Oklahoma rather than somewhere else, where they would have to start with a new life, new farm, new everything. But we can’t stay now. We wouldn't have anywhere to live. Because our home was gone. The big, mean people crushed it into little pieces. Although I’m hoping that a miracle will happen in the next few seconds bringing our home back. I really, really hoped, but deep down I knew that the miracle was only in my dreams. I guess that we could live at Aunt Heather’s house, but they will do the same to her house soon, if they haven’t already. It’s the same case for everybody... [Read More]

Why have I always been alone?

S...

16 Nov, 2012 10:55 PM

I haven't. In fact, I was never meant to be alone, but that changed when I was too young to remember. I lost my twin when I was about one year old. But I didn't know it. So this is how I was until a year or so ago: I developed a huge fear of losing a loved one, even though I wasn't aware of having ever lost anyone. that caused my OCD. So with those recurring anxieties, I was stressed, tired and afraid and always alone, even when I was with others. I was making it by, like other OCD sufferers, when I learned that I had lost my twin sister at a very early age. I overheard it, and after some dis belief, and digging around through my parents things, I found a few photos. I was forced to face my dead sister. That day I became an... [Read More]

A tragic story of two orphans

Georgina Martin-Gentleman

27 Dec, 2012 12:48 PM

The story begins with an 8 year old boy called Kevin who was part of a strict but loving family of four including, of course, Kevin. His parents whom he loved dearly were called Susan and Adam. They had - much to Kevin's dislike - a six year old daughter called Lilly. Lilly loved her brother and knew deep down Kevin loved her as well. Then on the 5th January 2005 the family decided to go out for a drive and watch the sunset, little did they know that this drive would turn into a blood bath of misery. The family were so happy singing away merrily to the radio, then suddenly another car swerved and crashed into them, then the car started to spin. The children thought it would never stop. Eventually it stopped. Kevin heard his sister crying and crawled his way over to her to see if... [Read More]

To start from the beginning is a understatement. My sad story starts from a young age and continues with me until now. My family always wanted the best for me, so you could say, their rules and restrictions were for my own benefit. I grew up in a religious family and was taught that education was my primary focus in life, So I attended a religious all girls school. I was taught that there were no such things as 'guy' friends, and they only wanted one thing, etc. I was shielded. I had two elder brothers that monitored my every move, even as they attended the all boys school neighboring mine. My short time in the girls school was a breeze, I was focused and determined, but that would all change eventually. Senior school was upon me now, but their was a change, my school would now be integrated as... [Read More]

I love you daddy!!

Lexi

15 Jul, 2010 11:00 PM

Thank you for taking the time to read this :) Me and my daddy have a very close relationship, and of course, I am a daddy's girl. As I was growing up, he constantly reminded me that I was ALWAYS going to be his little girl no matter what. It didn't really bother me until I got to my teenage years. You know how most teenage girls are, they like to be isolated from their parents and they like to be treated like adults. That's how I was when I was about 14 or 15 years old. We would spend alot of time together, like fishing, bowling, and ice skating. He said, he loved spending time with his little girl. This is when it bothered me.. "DAD!" is usually what I would yell when he called me this. "I know I'm your daughter and I know you love me, but... [Read More]

I Love You

Prateek Giri

17 Feb, 2013 07:18 AM

A story on saving relationships.. Learn from this.. “When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I’ve got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes. Suddenly I didn’t know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly. She didn’t seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why? I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn’t talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to... [Read More]

My Life Story

Zak Keller

28 Jan, 2013 05:21 PM

My life never was too good or easy or what you have. When I was 4 years old I lived on long island, had friends that actually gave a crap about me. But it wasn't always sunshine, that was when I watched my mother be abused day after day. Then in less than a year me and my mom moved to Pennsylvania I was glad I never had to watch it again but I was so depressed coz I lost all my friends. I guess you can say I moved on but I still miss them. After we moved here I joined school, it was kindergarten and I was starting to make friends. I was happy, but I didn't notice how cruel I was being to kids who were my friends. I would bully them and now I feel horrible but there's nothing I can do you know? In first... [Read More]

The only story I'll ever tell will be my own, the way I felt and never could tell..............(this is written right out of my brother journal, my brother always wanted to publish his life story) If only one second I could take back it could have changed my life and I would have changed it a million times over. the day when I realized its to late. I start this story at the age of 10, I didn't want to go to school like always but only for the soul purpose to not get into some sort of trouble with teachers and students alike. My mom couldn't handle me and my step dad only knew to beat me when nothing else he could do would help. My grandparents took me away and said not another day will I live with all my family again. Not realizing what I had just... [Read More]

God's GIft

Hannah

Let's start this story out with a not so sad quote. "I will not say, do not cry. For not all tears are of an evil." -Gandalf the White. Okay, here we go... I was six years old at the time. I had a good life, outside my house. I had friends, I had talents, I was liked. I would go to school, ready to learn, go to recess, see my friends at lunch. It was the most exciting thing. The only down side was going home. I had to ride the bus. It wasn't a long ride, I was the second stop. The bad part, was walking up the front steps. I would debate on whether to go in, or stay out there. My parents wouldn't notice anyways. I ended up walking inside. I slowly turned the handle, making as little noise as possible out of fear that I... [Read More]
