Crying Alone in Darkness

Jessica. Catafura

Before, you begin to read; I would like to tell you that this is based on a true story and that you should read it all the way through. I had a childhood friend. His name was 'Ben. Pittwater'. He was my friend, my neighbour, my child hood friend, my lover and soul mate. And I like to think that Ben loved me as much as I loved him. Thinking back, the first time I saw Ben was when I was 9 years old. Even though he had a luxurious living style, he was the only child and his parents were usually at work and returned at around 1PM. I sometimes saw him and after that, I let out the courage to say “Hi” to the member of the famous, rich Pittwater family. I still remember the moment he looked up after scratching the dirt then smiling at me with... [Read More]

The last words with my brother

DarknessAngel

24 Nov, 2012 02:56 PM

It's been a while since I've experienced this. This happened in 2007, when I was Ten. My brother Chris was 18 at the time, and had lung cancer. He was growing weaker and weaker, he was coughing so much, and breathing was becoming hard for him. Very hard. On December 23rd 2007, 2 days before Christmas, I visited him in the Hospital. He was in the hospital because doctors expected him to pass very soon, and they didn't want him at home to die. Me and him acted very friendly towards each other. He acted like he had no cancer, and he was at home again. He laughed, he coughed, but suddenly he began to cry. He looked me right in the eye, and told me these words, the words that still haunt and make me cry to this day: "Rachel, I need you to know some things. No matter... [Read More]

True But Sad Love

Ajern99

It had been raining for more than a week, so much rain it made everyday seemed so restless and gloomy. She called and said she was coming up. It was the third time she came up to see me that week. I carried her excuse of why she came all the way here and went to meet her at the nearby seven-eleven. She was standing there alone, carrying her red umbrella. Her friend had dropped her off. It was raining and she was shivering. She looked weak and fragile in the harsh rain, wearing not enough to keep her warm. She said, "I miss you." I told her coldly, "Lets go, I'll take you home." She did not open up her umbrella, I knew she wanted to share mine. I said, "Open up your umbrella, let's go." Unwillingly, She opened up her umbrella and walked with me to the car.... [Read More]

Surviving Love...

Sarah

30 Jan, 2013 04:34 AM

I was running through the dark streets, barely seeing where I was going. The cold air was practically choking me while I breathed. I knew that I might not be on time but I also knew that if I didn’t try and get there, that I would be haunted of the memory forever. The man I loved needed me. I had received a call that he was going into cardiac arrest and this might be the last day his heart beats. At first I thought they were joking—but when they put Damen on the phone I knew that they were right. I barely recognized his voice, as if he had drunk too much Cough Syrup. I was about to ask him if he was okay when suddenly he screamed dropping the phone. No one bothered to pick it up, so I could hear their voices in the background, shouting orders.... [Read More]

Numbing the pain only lasts so long...

I had the perfect child hood. I was born out of love. I wasnt a mistake, I wasn't a lack of birth control or a broken condom. My mum couldn't get pregnant. She wanted a child so she took IVF, and it didn't work the first time. My dad wanted a child more than my mum. I was born knowing my parents loved me. That I really was wanted. I grew up with my sisters in the most beautiful house, I was never spoiled and they raised me well. I had a good childhood, but I hurt myself a lot. I was clumsy and my parents started shouting at me and my dad would hit my leg when I did something wrong. I'm not sure when, but they slowly started losing all faith in me. I became nothing but a burden in their eyes. So, the real story starts just... [Read More]

A Tear For A Broken Heart

Isn't it funny how at some points in your life, you think that everything is going so perfectly well and yet it always ends up badly? You spend hours trying to figure out why you're doing it all wrong all the time, why you always end up broken. You must be doing something wrong, obviously. It is said that through life, you make mistakes, time passes and you eventually learn from them. In my case, it's the total opposite. I keep making mistakes yet I never learn. What is a tear? Is it just a drop of water which comes out of our eyes? Is it just a drop of water gliding down the aisle of our cheek to reach the chin? Is it just a drop of water which escapes for freedom and takes the plunge of death from our chin till it hits the floor? Or is it... [Read More]

This is my true story. Story of a sweet, caring, ambitious hindu indian girl and a passionate, violent, introvert muslim indian boy. PLEASE DO COMMENT. 7th grade: I am new in school. I quickly make friends, lots n lots of them. Loved by seniors, juniors, classmates and teachers. Basically, it dint take a cheerful, vibrant, honest n stupid girl (me) long to become popular. 8th grade: I am class monitor. Involved in numerous co-curricular activities. We become friends. We implies for me, corey and drew. (No, its not a triangular love story) 9th grade: I get to know more and more about corey. I think I have a crush on him. But we don?t talk much cause he is an introvert orthodox. He is everything anyone can ask for. Thin, toned, dark, humorous, intelligent (topper to be appropriate), serious, observant, a quizman, trustworthy, and most importantly, mature. No, he isnt boring.... [Read More]

Tina Adams

So im not really sure where to begin but before i start I'd like for you all to know the reaosn why I'm telling my story, its not because i wish for anyone to pity me or anything of the sort, more or so to get some type of closure, to finally break free of my past and start living a new life. And so here my confusing and long story begins... So my story begins my senior year of high school, to many of my friends im known as a trust worthy friend who just cant let friendships break no matter whats happened. Well anyways my best friend since grade school AJ was having problems with one of her good friends... [Read More]

This is a true story of mine. It happened few years ago but now i'm fine. I just wanted to share it to you. I had those worse memories that i would never forget in my whole life. It was so hurt for me and left a deep scar inside my heart. Sometimes i wonder if it will be happen again. I was 3 when i started my first school time.
