I saw my son today.
Golden curls; baby blues, bright, shining.
Soggy cookie squeezed through chubby fingers.
I laughed a happy laugh.
He laughed back, a gurgly little baby laugh.

We love each other but,
not  the way people think.
They don’t know how  we’ve come 
to know each other because they’re
still to learn about us.
