The  sour bitter taste flows through my mouth,
I don't see how people drink this;
The bubbles drain down my innocent throat,
One down.

The twist, the crack, the mini explosion
out of the long neck.
Number two.
The smell of it flutters the whole house

Everyone was doing it, why not me?
Or, at least that is what

daddy's day

24 Sep, 2011 07:48 PM
Her hair was up in a pony tail,
her favorite dress tied with a bow.
Today was Daddy's Day at school,
and she couldn't wait to go.

But her mommy tried to tell her,
that she probably should stay home.
Why the kids might not understand,
if she went to school alone.

  But she was not afraid;
she knew just what to say.

Jenny was a sick little girl
She had heart problems.
So she lived in the hospital
And her mother was always sobbing
But jenny was so happy.
Thinking about her daddy...
The thought of his smile
And knowing she was his child
She haven?t seen him in a while
But the thought of him
Made her proud
She ask her mommy where is daddy

saying goodbye

05 Nov, 2010 07:04 AM
saying goodbye hurts
when i had to say goodbye to my mum
my heart stopped thumping
i started feeling cold inside
it was freezing fog filling me up
i feel desperate
try not to cry donna i said
but it was too late I'd started
i had tears like streams running carelessly down my hot red cheeks
it feels she doesn't love me anymore
it feels there is no one to talk to
but i know there is

Kathleen Cox Richardson

I saw my son today.
Golden curls; baby blues, bright, shining.
Soggy cookie squeezed through chubby fingers.
I laughed a happy laugh.
He laughed back, a gurgly little baby laugh.

I saw my son today.
Short cut, sun-streaked hair; focused blues.
Soccer ball held tight in strong tanned hands.

Dear mom

26 Jul, 2011 01:18 AM
Dear mom ,
I'm sorry I'm not perfect,
I'm sorry I'm not what you wanted me to be,
I"m sorry I waste your money,
I'm sorry I'm emotional
I'm sorry I never say I love you
I'm sorry my attitude has been horrible
I'm sorry I fight with you over dad,
And I'm really sorry it seems like I don't care,
I care it's just you never showed me you have
You never hugged me
You never say I love you

Skid Row

17 Nov, 2016 12:13 AM
I used to have this dream years ago let me tell you though
it started with a smile and a wave on the patio,
then a flicker in the sky it showed a shadow.
but wait mum where'd you go I swear I just seen you though.
The sky would start to fall and I would scream but you were a no show.
Then my skin would slowly freeze as the world around me began to go.
Its okay I get it now seeing this tornado,
I'm nothing to you mum I guess this is like a puppet show.
Pick me up tear me down maybe I'm Dynamo,
ill fix myself up while you're drunk in the skid row,
Alone is how I'm feeling when I wake up and realise that I despise
the look in my eyes figuring out this nightmare is never gonna demise
