Skid Row

Okk

17 Nov, 2016 12:13 AM
I used to have this dream years ago let me tell you though
it started with a smile and a wave on the patio,
then a flicker in the sky it showed a shadow.
but wait mum where'd you go I swear I just seen you though.
The sky would start to fall and I would scream but you were a no show.
Then my skin would slowly freeze as the world around me began to go.
Its okay I get it now seeing this tornado,
I'm nothing to you mum I guess this is like a puppet show.
Pick me up tear me down maybe I'm Dynamo,
ill fix myself up while you're drunk in the skid row,
Alone is how I'm feeling when I wake up and realise that I despise
the look in my eyes figuring out this nightmare is never gonna demise

Narcosis

Michael Lipps

04 Oct, 2016 02:15 PM
I see now
These four walls
Were not to be used to contain the human body
But to contain the spirit and soul
They are used to reverse our backwards and one way thinking
Used to help us find our faith
And help us seek out the the help we need
As I lay here naked
Trapped not only within these four walls
But within the ovaloid shaped walls of my own skull
Trapped with just my thoughts
I realize now I was in a narcosis state

Past Poison

Lost_Sinner

01 Nov, 2015 07:55 PM
What's holding me back,
Is the time we never had.
As the poison gave me a heaven I could never find,
While lost in the streets without a dime.

I could get lost in each inch of sinful bliss that flowed into me,
And I was too blind to see,
All that it did to me.

Gazing at these vibrant scars,
Going one step too far.
Cold concrete, freezing days,

My Heroin, My Heart

anna

12 Jul, 2014 06:34 PM
An outrageous fear of the unorthodox,
the odd, the unknown pieces apart.
A poor decision defines the depth,
My heroin, my heart.

An imperfect imperfection implies,
the impulsive, and unproductive.
A selfish addiction is my wounded affection,
the result of living inactive.

An unwanted preoccupation,
the scarlet ribbon around my arm.

A Poem about Meth

Madi

21 Apr, 2013 10:36 AM
I destroy homes, I tear families apart, take your children, and that's just the start.
I'm more costly than diamonds, more precious than gold,
The sorrow I bring is a sight to behold.
If you need me, remember I'm easily found,

I live all around you - in schools and in town
I live with the rich; I live with the poor,
I live down the street, and maybe next door.
I'm made in a lab, but not like you think,
I can be made under the kitchen sink.

In your child's closet, and even in the woods,

To Him

Liza

19 Oct, 2012 10:33 PM
It's sad how You're only happy in my daydreams,
smiling that big smile,
kissing my needy lips.

So sad you are,
I feel it from afar,
in the morning when I see,
how happier You could be.

How snowflakes and leaves,
mean nothing without Your smiling lips,
Your joyful voice,

Silent Screams

DC Martin

11 Mar, 2012 08:29 AM
A sentimental lover, a wisp of days gone by,
But abuse just like no other,
stars spread about the midnight sky,

She sang a song of sixpence,
and other heartfelt tunes,
But all that innocence was torn away,
when he came into that little pink bedroom,

And in that moment silence could be heard above the screams,
And in that silent moment,
you could hear that baby scream.

The Switch

Jessica

14 Feb, 2012 07:31 PM
As she sat upon her bed in tears
She wondered if everything that
was once a dream became her fears

the one she loved who stole her heart
the one she thought they would never be part
at first he came with flowers and joy
he loved her he admired her he seemed so coy

as the tears trickled down her face
she gazed upon the distance with disgrace
the one she loved cursed her and put her down
