A Rose Thrown out to Sea.

Pride Ed

i.

you were petals i once
submerged — a fistful i let
go of under a foggy sea
when i was succumbing
to myself

you were the surface tension
screaming my name;
a diaphragm’s lullaby —
old thunder in the rain…

A Poem about Meth

Madi

21 Apr, 2013 10:36 AM
I destroy homes, I tear families apart, take your children, and that's just the start.
I'm more costly than diamonds, more precious than gold,
The sorrow I bring is a sight to behold.
If you need me, remember I'm easily found,

I live all around you - in schools and in town
I live with the rich; I live with the poor,
I live down the street, and maybe next door.
I'm made in a lab, but not like you think,
I can be made under the kitchen sink.

In your child's closet, and even in the woods,

You are to Me

Hannah Ellis

05 May, 2011 08:05 PM
You are my other half,
I am your missing rib,
You complete me,
I complete you.

At least that's what I thought.

You were my candle flame in the darkness,
bright, warm, and everlasting.
Now my world is dark,
the light is gone.

Confessions

Autumn Matthews

15 Jan, 2015 09:48 AM
Watch my pathetic misery,
Bleeding cuticles, bleeding red.
What are you doing to me, now
You know I know I want you dead.

Words are meaningless to me,
All I see is darkness and I
Kneel to it like a masochist,
Trying to resist but I can't break free

Watch me fall and spiral down,
Into the black that I'm ashamed to call home.

Grieving sadness

Robyn Watson

09 Jul, 2014 04:31 PM
My heart is weeping sadness, for the pain your going through.
Not many people understand the brokenness we do.

The sickness in our stomach, like nothing felt before.
The desperate longing feelings, make our hearts break even more.

I really know the pain you feel, as I have felt it too,
I had my kids just ripped away, I know your pain, I do.

Even Abby knows that pain, that no young heart should feel,
Even as the years pass by, your heart will never heal.

Questions asked by a melancholy heart

Matthew Pascucci

26 Sep, 2016 10:39 PM
Tell me when will the wind blow again,
Kicking up these leaves that caused me pain.
When will it snow,
When will my futile efforts start to show?

When will you realize, that you hold not one heart, but my heart as well,
I pray to God and hope he tells,
Me of all my wrongdoing while stating how his forgiveness quells,
At the thought of my meticulous actions,
That I've made solely out of lack of common sense.

I am a king born peasant, no good for this earth,
