fading passion

we drove through the mist of uncertainty
thoughts of intimacy cascaded as we moved on
and upon a dusty road we took a walk
rain drops as our feet crawled
beyond sights we found each other
escape the dark into light

upon my chest i did lie
i watched him stare into faded light
my heart raced as he drew near
lips upon mine was all i felt
hands buried upon my neck i was out of breath

slowly he slipped into me
a feeling intense yet chilling
covered in goose bumps,i quivered under the sheets
as i had his body buried within me

thoughts flew across time
as i wished that he would be mine
like oil through my fingers was his skin
and lips like chocolate melted upon mine
tasted better than red wine

the night had drawn clear
the moment seized like wound left to heal
and like fading passion
i stood empty of a defined vision

his eyes locked my gaze
all i saw was null and void a space
cold fire breezed through my spine
because this was nothing of angelic light

tried to bury the shame that had encompassed me
and upon a wet road we embacked as he took me home
words after words, nothing seemed to sound right
and till i reached my destination, those words didn't come out right

now thoughts of him are all i have
am crazy about him, i cant deny
but like night and day
he will never feel the same
