Lonely

I am alone
and ever so lonely.
I have no one to love
and there is no one here
to love me.

I want to love someone
and I need someone
whom will love me.
I do,
I truly,
truly
do.

My days are without smiles
and my nights are empty,
empty all the while I'm lonely.

What am I to do
when my nights
are so blue?

Is there no one out there
I can give my heart to?
Won't someone out there
give their heart to me?

Lord,
don't forsake me,
send me a sign
from above.
Give me a woman
to love
and I will
give to her,
all,
all
of
my
love.

Please,
please my loving
Lord,
take away the pain
that comes to me
each
and every
night.

Like a blind beggar
in the night,
I ask you,
my Lord,
rid me,
rid me
of my plight,
this night
and every
night.

I believe in love
and you too,
my Lord.
My love
I send
to you.

I'll lie in wait
until I hear
from you.

And now,
I bid you,
adieu.
