Sweet Death

save me from this place of sorrow,
depression and distrust.
my pain has made me
so so weak;
now all i want is peace.

all of this has made me seek,
for an end to this terrible cruelty.

the world is cruel,
but life is crueler.
love is death,
but death,
death is sweet.

i cry at night for lives lost,
but only tears of joy,
remembering those who have now tasted
the sweet nectar of death.
i wish for that gift,
that gift of silent, everlasting peace,
a place without pain and torture.
soon that gift will be given to me,
of that i am sure.
so impatiently i stand in this long line,
waiting for my only cure.
when sweet death envelopes me,
remember always,
i'm where i want to be.
a place much better,
and filled with silent peace.

so when this wonderful gift is given to you,
welcome it with open arms,
let it envelope you without a fight,
embrace it.
for it is sweet,
it is happy,
it is peaceful.

it is,
sweet death.
