Immersion

As I sit here
And watch the pour dwindle down
I feel myself begin to tear
These memories begin to spin me around

I see my grievances
Truth be told, there are several
Tragic romances
And all my life, to be general

I see those days
And they are a curse
It drives me into a craze
there are so many that I try to immerse

Myself in joyous immortality
But every time I come up to breathe
I'm struck down by hard cold reality
How can I ever be at ease

With all this pain I have to hide
Behind a fake smile
as I cry with sorrow inside
But I should now enjoy this rain for a while

Before I have to come up for air
